Factory operations

Raw material handling

Review the product and cutting list to plan material requirements.

Sawing and sizing

The profile describes band saws, multi-rip saws, edging and cross-cutting. Operations are selected for the required specification.

Preparation and drying

The profile describes programmed kiln controls and a steam heat supply. Moisture targets, measurement and acceptance criteria are agreed for each order.

Planing and machining

Planing and machining equipment support agreed surface and finished-size requirements.

Pallet assembly

Construction, deck layout and fixings follow the approved design; loads, entry directions and operating conditions require review.

Inspection and storage

Profile photographs show inspection and finished goods storage. Inspection scope, sampling, packaging and delivery terms must be specified in the order.

Capacity is assessed for each order

To assess a wholesale order, LEFAMI needs specifications, quantity, quality requirements, required date and destination. Production lead time is confirmed after reviewing requirements and the factory schedule. Kiln batch capacity is not the same as daily output; supply capacity must be assessed against dimensions and actual production cycles.

Agree quality and documentation requirements

• Dimensions, tolerances and how delivered quantities are measured.
• Target moisture, measurement and sampling for dried timber.
• Acceptable defects, surfaces and pallet construction.
• Inspection scope, samples and batch documentation.
• Destination, treatment, marking and documentation for export-related orders.

Drying and heat-treatment documentation are confirmed separately. LEFAMI reviews document availability before confirming a quotation; equipment photographs and process descriptions do not replace shipment certification.

Delivery lead time

Lead time is confirmed after product specifications, quantities, machining requirements and delivery destination are agreed. The schedule is stated in the quotation and B2B contract.
