Kiln-dried acacia timber
Agreed moisture requirements and inspection criteria for your application.
Kiln-dried acacia timber to agreed moisture specifications
Kiln-dried timber orders require both dimensional and moisture inspection specifications. LEFAMI reviews the intended use, stock dimensions and post-drying requirements before planning production. Include planing or additional machining as a separate item in your inquiry.
Pricing depends on specifications, quality, quantity and delivery terms. Minimum quantities and lead times are confirmed individually.

Wholesale specification checklist
| Specification | Information to provide |
|---|---|
| Dimensions and tolerances | Specify sizes before/after drying or after planing, in mm, and acceptance limits. |
| Target moisture | Required target and acceptance range for your application; no universal value is assumed. |
| Inspection method | Agree measurement method, measurement positions, sampling and inspection timing. |
| Acceptable defects | Acceptance criteria for knots, cracks, warping, edges and surface condition. |
| Additional machining | Specify planing, trimming or additional finishing for review and quotation. |
| Quantity and handling | Quantity, unit, packaging requirements, destination and transport route. |
Agree quality criteria before drying
Document the specification in the inquiry and order confirmation instead of requesting only “dry timber”. Where samples are required, agree sample dimensions, cost and lead time. Heat-treatment and phytosanitary documentation requirements are reviewed separately; this kiln-dried product description does not replace shipment documents.
Packaging, inspection and delivery
Before order confirmation
Agree samples or a specification sheet, inspection criteria, quantity, payment terms and proposed delivery schedule. Pricing and freight scope must be stated in the quotation.
Delivery requirements
Specify packaging, shipment units and destination. State any lot labels, container packing or documentation requirements early so feasibility and costs can be reviewed.
Questions before ordering
Is the same moisture target used for every order?
No. Share your application and required target; the moisture range and inspection criteria are agreed for each order.
What are the minimum quantity and delivery lead time?
LEFAMI confirms these according to the specification, quantity and production plan. An inquiry does not confirm delivery availability or an accepted order.
How do I share drawings?
The form accepts PDF, JPG or PNG files up to 5 MB. For other formats or a detailed cutting list, contact lefamijsc@gmail.com and include the product, quantity and destination.

From sawn stock to dried and planed timber
This table illustrates three processing stages for preparing an inquiry. Dimensions after drying and planing are reference values, not a universal shrinkage allowance for every batch.
| Stock type | Green sawn (mm) | Rough dry (mm) | Planed (mm) | Length (mm) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stock for jointed panels | 25 × 55 / 65 / 85 | 23.5 × 52 / 62 / 82 | 20 × 48 / 58 / 78 | 400–1200 |
| Bed slats / light frames | 22 × 70 / 90 / 100 | 20.5 × 66 / 85 / 95 | 18 × 62 / 80 / 90 | 900–2000 |
| Frame stock | 30 × 60 / 80 / 100 | 28 × 56 / 75 / 95 | 25 × 50 / 70 / 90 | 1000–2400 |
| Square leg stock | 50 × 50; 65 × 65; 80 × 80 | 47 × 47; 61 × 61; 75 × 75 | 42 × 42; 55 × 55; 70 × 70 | 700–1500 |
| Pallet boards | 20 × 90 / 100 / 120 | 18.5 × 85 / 95 / 115 | 17 × 80 / 90 / 110 (S2S) | 1000–1200 |
Dimensions are thickness × width; length is listed separately. S2S means surfaced on two sides and S4S on four sides. Specify the delivery condition and required acceptance dimensions. Do not infer final sizes using one fixed allowance percentage.
Quality selection for your application
| Reference category | What to agree |
|---|---|
| AA — selected faces | For exposed faces requiring selected appearance; agree knot, sapwood, colour and crack limits. |
| AB — face-specific requirements | Identify the preferred face and the reverse face, with separate limits for sound knots, dead knots and defects. |
| BC — application-based selection | Appearance requirements may differ from exposed-face stock; defects affecting use still require explicit acceptance limits. |
AA, AB and BC are reference commercial descriptions, not certifications or a universal grading system. Measurement, sampling, tolerances and defect limits are agreed in the contract.
Minimum quantities and order schedules
Order quantity
Order quantity is agreed according to dimensions, quality requirements and packaging for each order. Send your requirements for review and quotation.
Delivery lead time
Lead time is confirmed after product specifications, quantities, machining requirements and delivery destination are agreed. The schedule is stated in the quotation and B2B contract.
